The Meaning Behind “Sakura”

In her words: “Cherry blossoms bloom and die within a few days, and have come to represent the fleeting beauty of life. I’m a person who always takes things too seriously and worries too much, but writing and performing my music allows me to take a breath and appreciate the beauty of the present. This, coupled with its significance in Japanese culture, is why my debut EP is titled Sakura, the Japanese word for cherry blossoms.”
